Thirsty-Turf Irrigation has been servicing the New England area since 2000. We provide every customer with quality workmanship and a well-organized project from the beginning to the very end. We pride ourselves on your complete satisfaction.
Josh founded Thirsty-Turf in 2000 with his wife, Nadia, when they recognized the need for an irrigation company that would provide Maine customers with top quality service. They started out as a small family run operation and have since grown to over 25 employees while continuing to uphold the high standards the company was founded on.
Joshua Doucette
CEO & President
Josh has over 17 years' experience in the irrigation field. He wears multiple hats within the company, from estimating projects to overseeing the day to day activities whether it be in the office or on the project site. His hands-on approach and hardworking ethic, his philosophy from the beginning, allow him to create and maintain a successful team environment.
Josh graduated from the University of Southern Maine with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology. He is a member of both the Irrigation Association and the Irrigation Association of New England (IANE). He is currently a Board member of the IANE having also served on the board of directors in 2007-2008. He is a certified Irrigation Contractor (CIC), a certified Vista Professional Outdoor Lighting Contractor, and an EPA Water Sense Partner. Josh is currently in training to become Maine's first Certified Landscape Irrigation Auditor (CLIA).
Nadia Doucette
CFO & Office Administrator
Nadia is not a stranger to hard work and getting her hands dirty. In the early days at Thirsty-Turf, you could find her on the job site. Currently she works in the office overseeing the company’s financial data and managing vendor relationships. Her background includes several years of management and customer service. She enjoys working closely with clients and our team to ensure a smooth working relationship.
Jane Johnson
Office Manager & Customer Service Representative
For over six years, Jane has been heard as the friendly voice on the Thirsty-Turf phone. Jane has gotten to know our customers over the years by speaking with and assisting them on a regular basis and thoroughly enjoys building these relationships. Her responsibilities include making sure the office is running smoothly and efficiently and above all our clients’ needs are thoroughly met.
Ross Maddocks
Operations Manager
Ross has been with Thirsty-Turf from the beginning. He directs the design process and manages our residential installation crews. He is also the head of the Landscape Lighting Division. Ross is friendly, knowledgeable, and pays careful attention to the many details along the way. His depth of knowledge, expertise, and management skills are an asset to our company.
Ross attended the University of Southern Maine and has been working in the irrigation industry for over 14 years. He is certified by the Maine Public Utilities Commission and also through CAST Lighting for Landscape Lighting Design & Installation and Advanced Landscaped Lighting Maintenance, Troubleshooting & Repair.
Andrew Cary
Commercial Project Manager
Since 2003, Andy has overseen Thirsty-Turf’s commercial, athletic, and golf course installations. He also assists in the commercial design work and layout. Andy brings many years of construction experience to the job, and with his leadership skills he is able to execute his ideas with precision and accuracy.
Andy graduated from Plymouth State College, and is certified through the Maine Public Utilities Commission.
Nicholas Lenahan
Residential Project Foreman
Nick joined Thirsty-Turf in 2007 overseeing our residential installation crews and also aids in the design process. He brings years of knowledge to the company having worked in the 'green industry' for over 16 years, 12 of which were in the irrigation field.
Nick graduated from Southern Maine Community College with a degree in Plant & Soil Technology. He is trained and certified in high density poly pipe fusion.
Michael Fennessy
Service Technician
Mike provides our customers with excellent service beginning with a clear understanding of an irrigation system. His critical thinking and trouble-shooting techniques allow him to diagnose and repair any problem at hand. Mike's friendly presence has allowed him to build many relationships with our customers in the 8 years he has been at Thirsty-Turf.
Mike attended the University of Southern Maine, and has been working in the irrigation industry for over 11 years.
Nicholas Harmon
Service Technician
Nick began working for Thirsty-Turf in 2003 on our residential installation crew and soon after sought after more challenging work within the company. Nick’s earlier experiences learned on the job site have allowed him to gather and assess the right information to find the solution to complex problems. His outgoing and friendly personality is recognized and always appreciated by our customers.
Nick attended Southern Maine Community College.
